Etymology opening passage from the source article
浜風（はまかぜ）は、日本相撲協会の年寄名跡のひとつ。初代・濱風が四股名として名乗っていたもので、1750年代頃に創設され、代々「今右衞門」を通り名としていたが、名前の由来は定かでない。 18代目は2011年11月場所から2018年7月場所まで初代ゆかりの「濱風」に表記を変更していたが、2018年9月場所より再び表記を「浜風」に戻した。
