Etymology opening passage from the source article
錣山（しころやま）は、日本相撲協会の年寄名跡のひとつ。初代・錣山が四股名として名乗っていたもので、その由来は定かではない。江戸相撲会所の筆分という重役職は永らく歴代の錣山が務めていた。
